1. About This Editorial Policy
GreenLink.com.ng is a Nigerian travel and information publication founded by Godwin Samuel, a Nigerian travel publisher and traveler from Bayelsa State.
This Editorial & Content Policy explains how GreenLink creates, researches, reviews, updates and corrects its content.
It also explains how we distinguish:
- Firsthand experience.
- Research-based information.
- Personal opinion.
- Reviews.
- Business-provided information.
- Sponsored or commercial content.
- AI-assisted editorial work.
Our objective is to give readers information that is useful, understandable, transparent and responsible.
GreenLink is primarily focused on helping people understand and explore Nigeria through practical travel information, personal experiences, destination information, accommodation experiences and other useful travel-related content.
2. Who Is Behind GreenLink?
GreenLink is not an anonymous publication.
The website was founded by Godwin Samuel.
I am originally from Nembe Local Government Area in Bayelsa State, including Okoroma and Sangakubu, and I currently live in Bayelsa State.
Apart from publishing GreenLink, I am also a businessman and sell pizza.
My interest in travel began when I was about 18 years old.
At that age, I told my mother that when I reached 18, I wanted to begin traveling around Nigeria. She was concerned about me traveling, but I wanted to see the country for myself.
One of my early experiences was traveling to Imo State alone.
I remember how different it felt to leave the environment I already knew and enter somewhere new.
That experience encouraged me to continue traveling.
I wanted to see how other Nigerians live, learn about different cultures, meet people from different parts of the country, experience different foods and languages, and understand Nigeria beyond my immediate environment.
That curiosity eventually became one of the reasons GreenLink was created.
3. Our Editorial Purpose
The purpose of GreenLink is to create useful information for people interested in traveling, exploring and understanding Nigeria.
Our content may cover:
- Nigerian destinations.
- Hotels and accommodation.
- Travel planning.
- Nigerian cities and states.
- Travel experiences.
- Food and local experiences.
- Nigerian culture.
- Tourism.
- Travel tips.
- Practical hotel information.
- Transportation-related travel information.
- Destination guides.
- Personal observations.
- Travel-related businesses and services.
Our intended audience includes Nigerian travelers and international visitors who want practical information about traveling within Nigeria.
We do not create content simply because a topic appears popular in search.
Our starting question is:
Will this information genuinely help someone who is interested in traveling or learning about Nigeria?
That people-first approach is consistent with Google’s current guidance, which emphasizes creating content primarily to benefit people rather than content created mainly to manipulate search rankings.
4. Our Experience as Travelers
Travel is central to GreenLink because I genuinely enjoy traveling.
I have traveled to many parts of Nigeria, including:
- Bayelsa State
- Delta State
- Imo State
- Abia State
- Lagos State
- Abuja
- Rivers State
- Anambra State
- Edo State
- Kogi State
- Oyo State
- Sokoto State
- Akwa Ibom State
- Ogun State
- Enugu State
- Plateau State
- Bauchi State
- Yobe State
- Kwara State
My reason for traveling has never been simply to collect state names.
I travel because I enjoy seeing different environments, meeting people, learning cultures, discovering food, hearing different languages and understanding how people live in different parts of Nigeria.
I also enjoy the freedom of being in a new environment where people do not already know my background.
Travel has helped me discover opportunities and understand parts of Nigeria from a perspective I could not have gained by staying in one place.
5. What Travel Has Taught Me
Travel has not always been easy.
I have experienced difficult roads and stressful journeys.
I have also encountered situations involving police stops and concerns about extortion, as well as the wider security concerns that travelers can face on Nigerian roads.
These experiences have taught me to pay attention to practical details before and during a journey.
For example, I think about:
- The condition of the route.
- Where I will stay.
- Parking.
- The surrounding environment.
- Water availability.
- Food.
- Mobile network.
- Wi-Fi.
- Cleanliness.
- How easy it is to move around the area.
- What I need to prepare before leaving.
These experiences influence the practical approach GreenLink takes when producing travel content.
However, one person’s experience is not automatically proof that every traveler will experience the same thing.
That distinction is important.
6. How GreenLink Demonstrates Experience
GreenLink uses firsthand experience where it genuinely exists.
For example, if I personally stay at a hotel, I can describe what I observed during that stay.
I may discuss:
- The environment.
- Cleanliness.
- Parking.
- Vehicle access.
- Water.
- Food.
- Wi-Fi.
- Mobile network.
- Room experience.
- General comfort.
- My practical experience using the facilities.
I will use language that makes the source of the information clear.
For example:
“During my stay, I found the room clean.”
That describes my personal observation.
It does not mean every guest will have exactly the same experience.
Similarly:
“The Wi-Fi worked well enough for the work I needed to do during my stay.”
is a personal observation.
It is different from saying:
“This hotel has the best Wi-Fi in the city.”
The second statement is a much broader claim and would require evidence beyond one person’s experience.
7. Our Firsthand Experience Label
To make our content easier to understand, GreenLink may use a Firsthand Experience section where appropriate.
For example:
Firsthand Experience
Author: Godwin Samuel
Experience: Personal visit/stay
What was personally observed: [specific observations]
Experience date: [where appropriate]
This section will only be used when the author genuinely has the experience being described.
We will not manufacture a firsthand experience to make an article appear more authoritative.
8. How Readers Can Understand the Source of Information
GreenLink aims to make the origin of important information clear.
We generally distinguish information into four categories.
Firsthand observation
Something the author personally saw, used, experienced or documented.
Research-based information
Information obtained from appropriate external sources.
Business-provided information
Information supplied directly by a hotel, company, organization or other business.
Personal opinion
The author’s individual judgment, preference or interpretation.
These categories should not be deliberately presented as though they are the same thing.
9. Our “Who, How and Why” Standard
GreenLink follows a simple editorial test.
Who created the content?
Readers should be able to identify the author.
Where appropriate, articles should include:
Author: Godwin Samuel
The byline should lead readers to information about the author and his travel background.
How was the content created?
The article should make sense as a piece of human editorial work.
Depending on the article, it may be based on:
- Personal travel experience.
- Original observations.
- Research.
- Official sources.
- Interviews.
- Business information.
- Photographs.
- Documents.
- Other supporting evidence.
Why was it created?
The primary reason should be to help the reader.
The article should not exist primarily to manipulate search rankings.
This “Who, How and Why” approach reflects Google’s current people-first guidance.
10. Research Standards
When an article contains information that cannot reasonably be established through personal experience, GreenLink may conduct research.
Depending on the subject, sources may include:
- Government websites.
- Official tourism organizations.
- Official hotel websites.
- Official company websites.
- Transport operators.
- Public records.
- Official announcements.
- Reputable news organizations.
- Primary documents.
- Direct statements.
- Firsthand observations.
We try to use the most appropriate source for the claim being made.
11. Sources and Citations
Important factual claims should be supported by appropriate sources where necessary.
Sources may be provided through:
- Direct links.
- Source lists.
- Citations.
- Official documents.
- References within the article.
We do not want readers to have to guess where important factual information came from.
12. Primary Sources
When practical, GreenLink prefers primary sources for information that can change.
For example, if we need to confirm information about:
- A government requirement.
- An official announcement.
- A hotel facility.
- A company’s current contact information.
- An official tourism service.
- A transport provider.
we may consult the organization responsible for that information.
However, information published by an organization represents what that organization states.
It does not automatically become GreenLink’s independent opinion.
13. We Do Not Manufacture Experience
This is one of GreenLink’s most important editorial rules.
We will not deliberately claim that Godwin Samuel:
- Stayed at a hotel he did not stay at.
- Visited a destination he did not visit.
- Ate at a restaurant he did not visit.
- Interviewed someone he did not interview.
- Personally tested something he did not test.
- Saw something he did not see.
If an experience did not happen, it should not be presented as though it happened.
14. Personal Experience Has Limits
Firsthand experience is valuable, but it has limitations.
One hotel stay does not establish how every guest will experience the hotel.
One road trip does not establish the condition of every road in a state.
One restaurant meal does not establish that every customer will receive the same meal.
One encounter with an official does not establish that every official behaves the same way.
One person’s experience is evidence of that person’s experience.
It should not automatically be expanded into a universal claim.
This is why GreenLink aims to use specific language such as:
- “During my visit…”
- “In my experience…”
- “When I stayed there…”
- “At the time of my visit…”
- “I observed…”
- “I found…”
when those descriptions are accurate.
15. Hotel Reviews and Accommodation Content
Hotels are an important part of GreenLink’s travel coverage.
When I personally visit a hotel, I pay attention to practical details that matter to me as a traveler.
These can include:
Location
Is the location practical for the purpose of the trip?
Environment
What was the surrounding environment like during the visit?
Cleanliness
What did I personally observe?
Parking
Was parking available and practical?
Vehicle considerations
What did I observe about access and practical vehicle-safety considerations?
Water
Was water available during my stay?
Food
What was my personal experience with the available food?
Wi-Fi
How did the internet connection perform during my stay?
Mobile network
How did my mobile network perform in the area?
Comfort
What was my experience with the room and facilities I personally used?
These observations should be presented as observations rather than guarantees about every future guest.
16. Hotel Information That Comes From Businesses
Hotels and businesses may provide information about:
- Facilities.
- Room types.
- Prices.
- Services.
- Opening hours.
- Promotions.
- Contact details.
- Events.
- New facilities.
When we publish information supplied by a business, we should distinguish it from our independent firsthand observations.
For example:
“According to the hotel’s published information…”
is different from:
“During my stay, I personally observed…”
That distinction protects readers from confusing advertising or business claims with independent experience.
17. Reviews, Opinions and Commentary
GreenLink may publish:
- Hotel reviews.
- Destination opinions.
- Personal travel experiences.
- Commentary.
- Recommendations based on stated criteria.
These should be identifiable as reviews, opinions or personal experiences where appropriate.
A personal opinion should not be disguised as an objective fact.
Bing’s current publisher guidance explicitly says commentary, opinion and reviews should be clearly labeled.
18. We Avoid Unsupported Superlatives
GreenLink will be careful with claims such as:
- Best hotel.
- Cheapest hotel.
- Safest hotel.
- Number-one destination.
- Most beautiful city.
- Best restaurant.
- Worst hotel.
- Guaranteed cheapest price.
Such claims require appropriate evidence and a clearly defined comparison.
A personal preference may be expressed as a personal preference.
For example:
“This is one of the hotels I personally enjoyed staying at.”
That is different from claiming:
“This is the best hotel in Nigeria.”
19. Nigerian Culture and Communities
Nigeria is extremely diverse.
My experience in Bayelsa is not automatically representative of Lagos.
My experience in Lagos is not automatically representative of Sokoto.
My experience with one person is not automatically representative of an entire community.
When GreenLink discusses Nigerian cultures, communities, languages or traditions, we aim to avoid stereotypes and unsupported generalizations.
Where cultural information is important, we aim to provide appropriate context and sources.
20. Travel Safety and Security
GreenLink is a travel publication, not a security agency, police authority or government agency.
When discussing safety or security, we aim to:
- Use current and appropriate sources.
- Clearly distinguish personal experience from verified information.
- Avoid sensationalism.
- Avoid unsupported claims.
- Identify uncertainty where relevant.
- Encourage readers to check current official information for important safety decisions.
Travel conditions can change.
Information about roads, security, transportation and local conditions should therefore be treated according to its date and source.
21. Negative Experiences
GreenLink will not hide a genuine negative travel experience simply because it may make an article less attractive to a business.
If something went wrong during a trip or hotel stay, we may describe it when it is relevant.
However, we will describe the experience accurately.
For example:
“During my journey, I experienced a lengthy delay at a checkpoint.”
is a description of a particular experience.
It is different from claiming:
“Travelers are always delayed at checkpoints in this state.”
The second claim would require broader evidence.
22. Corrections Policy
GreenLink accepts that mistakes can occur.
When we discover a meaningful factual error, we aim to correct it.
Corrections may include:
- Correcting the inaccurate statement.
- Updating outdated information.
- Replacing an incorrect source.
- Adding clarification.
- Removing unsupported information.
- Adding an editorial note where appropriate.
We do not believe that refusing to correct a mistake demonstrates authority.
Responsible publishing includes correcting mistakes.
23. How to Request a Correction
Readers can report a potential factual error by contacting:
Email: info@greenlink.com.ng
Please provide:
- The article URL.
- The statement you believe is incorrect.
- The proposed correction.
- Evidence supporting the correction, if available.
We will review credible correction requests.
A disagreement with an opinion or firsthand experience does not automatically mean an article contains a factual error.
24. Right of Reply
Hotels, companies, organizations and individuals mentioned in GreenLink content may contact us about factual claims concerning them.
Where credible evidence demonstrates that a factual statement is incorrect, we may correct it.
Where appropriate, we may publish or link to a response or clarification.
However, an organization does not automatically have the right to remove an honest firsthand observation simply because it disagrees with it.
Our objective is accuracy and fairness.
25. Updating Content
Travel information changes.
Examples include:
- Hotel facilities.
- Hotel prices.
- Contact details.
- Opening hours.
- Road conditions.
- Transportation arrangements.
- Government requirements.
- Business ownership.
- Availability of services.
GreenLink may update articles when information becomes outdated or when meaningful new information becomes available.
An updated date should represent a meaningful update.
We do not change dates merely to make an unchanged article appear fresh.
26. Publication and Update Dates
Where appropriate, articles should display:
Published: [date]
Last Updated: [date]
The published date identifies when the article was originally published.
The updated date indicates that meaningful editorial work has subsequently been performed.
Dates should be used honestly.
27. Originality
GreenLink aims to provide original value.
Original value may come from:
- Firsthand travel experience.
- Original photographs.
- Original reporting.
- Personal observations.
- Research.
- Interviews.
- Practical explanations.
- Local knowledge.
- Comparisons based on stated criteria.
- Original analysis.
- Meaningful updates.
We do not believe an article becomes useful simply because it is long.
The goal is to make the content useful enough that a reader does not immediately need to search elsewhere for basic answers.
28. Content Length
GreenLink does not use a fixed word count as a measure of quality.
An article should be as long as necessary to answer the reader’s question properly.
Some questions require 500 words.
Others require 2,000 words.
A longer article is not automatically better.
29. Search Engine Optimization
GreenLink uses SEO to help readers discover useful information.
SEO should support the content rather than determine what the content says.
We aim to avoid:
- Keyword stuffing.
- Unnatural repetition.
- Misleading titles.
- Search-engine-first articles.
- Mass-produced pages with little original value.
- Creating pages solely because a keyword appears popular.
- Rewriting existing articles without adding meaningful value.
30. Accurate Headlines
The headline should accurately represent the article.
We will avoid deliberately creating headlines that promise information the article does not contain.
For example, if an article describes five hotels personally visited by the author, it should not imply that the author personally inspected every hotel in the city.
31. Our Use of Artificial Intelligence
GreenLink may use AI tools to assist with editorial work.
AI may help with:
- Brainstorming.
- Outlining.
- Grammar.
- Editing.
- Organization.
- Research assistance.
- Draft refinement.
- Identifying possible questions readers may have.
However, AI does not replace human editorial responsibility.
A human editor remains responsible for the published content.
32. AI Cannot Create Godwin’s Experiences
This is a specific GreenLink rule.
AI must not invent a personal experience and present it as Godwin Samuel’s real experience.
AI must not fabricate:
- Hotel stays.
- Trips.
- Interviews.
- Conversations.
- Meals.
- Meetings.
- Photographic experiences.
- Personal observations.
- Testing results.
If I did not experience something, GreenLink should not say that I did.
33. AI and Factual Verification
AI systems can produce incorrect or outdated information.
Therefore, AI-generated suggestions should not automatically be treated as verified facts.
Important factual claims should be checked against appropriate sources before publication.
Where the use of automation is substantial enough that readers would reasonably want to understand how content was produced, GreenLink may disclose the role of AI or automation.
34. Human Editorial Responsibility
The final responsibility for GreenLink content remains with the publisher and editorial process.
Before important content is published, we aim to consider:
- Accuracy.
- Author identity.
- Firsthand claims.
- Sources.
- Relevance.
- Originality.
- Clarity.
- Dates.
- Commercial relationships.
- Potentially outdated information.
- Reader usefulness.
Using an AI tool does not transfer editorial responsibility to the tool.
35. Commercial Content
GreenLink may earn revenue through:
- Advertising.
- Affiliate relationships.
- Sponsored content.
- Partnerships.
- Commercial collaborations.
Where a commercial relationship is relevant to an article, it should be disclosed.
Commercial relationships should not be presented as independent editorial experience when they are not.
36. Advertising
Advertisements may appear on GreenLink.
Advertising is separate from editorial content.
The existence of an advertisement does not mean that GreenLink personally recommends the advertised business or product.
Where advertisements are controlled by advertising networks, individual advertisements may be selected automatically by those systems.
37. Sponsored Content
Sponsored content should be clearly identified.
Possible labels include:
- Sponsored Content.
- Paid Partnership.
- Partner Content.
A sponsored article should not deliberately be disguised as independent editorial content.
38. Affiliate Links
Some GreenLink articles may contain affiliate links.
If a reader clicks an affiliate link and completes a qualifying action, GreenLink may receive a commission.
Where appropriate, this relationship should be disclosed.
The existence of an affiliate relationship does not automatically mean that GreenLink considers a product, hotel or service suitable for every reader.
39. Editorial Independence
Commercial relationships do not automatically determine GreenLink’s editorial conclusions.
For example, if a hotel advertises on GreenLink, that does not mean the hotel automatically controls what we say about our personal experience.
At the same time, editorial independence does not mean refusing legitimate corrections.
If a business provides credible evidence that a factual statement is wrong, we will consider it.
40. Conflicts of Interest
GreenLink aims to disclose relevant conflicts of interest.
These may include:
- A sponsored hotel stay.
- Financial compensation.
- Affiliate relationships.
- A commercial partnership.
- A material benefit received from a business being discussed.
Transparency helps readers understand the context behind the content.
41. Images and Photography
GreenLink may use:
- Original photographs.
- Licensed images.
- Permission-based images.
- Original graphics.
- Illustrations.
- AI-generated images where appropriate.
We aim to have the appropriate rights to publish visual material.
When an image is illustrative rather than a photograph of the actual place being discussed, we should avoid presenting it as though it were documentary evidence of that location.
42. Copyright
GreenLink aims to publish only content that it has the legal right to publish.
This applies to:
- Text.
- Photographs.
- Graphics.
- Videos.
- Documents.
- Other creative works.
If you believe GreenLink has used material without the appropriate rights, contact:
43. Author Pages
GreenLink should provide an identifiable author page for significant editorial content.
The author page for Godwin Samuel should explain:
- Who he is.
- His travel background.
- Where he is from.
- Why he travels.
- The states and destinations he has visited.
- His experience with hotels.
- His role as GreenLink’s founder and publisher.
- His editorial interests.
This allows readers to understand the person behind the content.
44. Author Bylines
Articles written by Godwin Samuel should use his full name.
Where appropriate:
By Godwin Samuel
or:
Author: Godwin Samuel
We will avoid anonymous bylines such as:
Admin
when an identifiable author is appropriate.
45. Practical Experience Notes
Where relevant, GreenLink articles may include a short box such as:
My Experience
I visited this location during my travels and personally observed the details described in this section.
or:
How I Assessed This Hotel
During my stay, I paid attention to cleanliness, parking, water, food, Wi-Fi, mobile network and the surrounding environment because these are practical factors I personally consider when traveling.
This helps readers understand how an observation was formed.
46. Evidence Behind Reviews
When a review depends substantially on firsthand testing or observation, GreenLink may provide supporting evidence such as:
- Original photographs.
- Dates.
- Location information where appropriate.
- Descriptions of what was tested.
- The facilities personally used.
- Specific observations.
- Supporting documents where appropriate.
We will not create fake evidence merely to make a review appear more authoritative.
47. Practical Travel Advice
GreenLink aims to give readers information they can actually use.
Instead of simply saying:
“Choose a good hotel.”
we aim to explain practical questions travelers can ask:
- Is there secure and practical parking?
- Is water available?
- How did the Wi-Fi perform during the visit?
- Is mobile network coverage usable?
- Is the surrounding environment suitable for the purpose of the trip?
- What food options are available?
- What should a traveler confirm before booking?
- What information may have changed since the author’s visit?
This practical approach comes from how I personally prepare for travel.
48. Travel Information That Changes
Readers should always consider the date of travel.
Information can change because:
- Hotels renovate.
- Businesses relocate.
- Prices change.
- Facilities change.
- Roads change.
- Transport services change.
- Security situations change.
- Government policies change.
Where information is time-sensitive, GreenLink should identify the relevant date or encourage readers to confirm the information before relying on it.
49. AI Search and Content Structure
GreenLink also recognizes that readers increasingly discover information through AI-powered search experiences.
Bing’s current AI Performance system reports when website pages are cited in AI-generated answers across Microsoft Copilot, Bing’s AI-generated summaries and selected partner experiences. Bing recommends clear structure, evidence, expertise and fresh, accurate information as useful practices.
Therefore, GreenLink aims to make important information easy to understand through:
- Descriptive headings.
- Direct answers.
- Clear paragraphs.
- Useful tables.
- Practical checklists.
- Evidence.
- Sources.
- Author information.
- Clear distinctions between facts and opinions.
- Updated information.
We do not guarantee that Google, Bing, Copilot or another AI system will cite GreenLink.
50. AI Visibility Is Not a Quality Guarantee
GreenLink will not claim that appearing in an AI answer means that an article is automatically authoritative.
Therefore, GreenLink’s goal remains useful content—not simply appearing in AI-generated answers.
51. Content Quality Review
Before publishing important content, we ask:
Who?
Who wrote it?
Can the reader understand the author’s relevant experience?
How?
How was the information obtained?
Was it personally experienced, researched, supplied by a business or generated with editorial assistance?
Why?
Why does the article exist?
Does it genuinely help the reader?
Evidence?
What supports important factual claims?
Accuracy?
Could any important information be outdated?
Original value?
What does GreenLink add beyond information already available elsewhere?
Transparency?
Can the reader tell what is fact, observation, opinion and business-provided information?
Usefulness?
Would the article still be useful if the reader had discovered it directly rather than through a search engine?
These questions reflect Google’s current “Who, How and Why” approach to evaluating people-first content.
52. What We Do Not Promise
GreenLink does not promise:
- Google rankings.
- Bing rankings.
- Guaranteed indexing.
- Google Discover placement.
- AI citations.
- Microsoft Copilot citations.
- Search traffic.
- Advertising revenue.
- AdSense approval.
Meeting good publishing practices does not guarantee a particular search or advertising outcome.
53. GreenLink Does Not Claim E-E-A-T Certification
GreenLink does not claim to be:
- Google E-E-A-T certified.
- Google-approved.
- Bing-approved.
- Guaranteed to rank.
- Guaranteed to appear in AI answers.
E-E-A-T is not a certificate that GreenLink can purchase or display.
Instead, we aim to demonstrate:
Experience through genuine travel and hotel experiences.
Expertise through accumulated knowledge, research and practical understanding.
Authoritativeness through consistent, transparent and useful publishing.
Trustworthiness through accuracy, sources, corrections, disclosures and identifiable ownership.
54. Our Editorial Checklist
Before publishing an article, we aim to check:
☐ Is the author identifiable?
☐ Does the article have an accurate title?
☐ Does the content answer a genuine reader question?
☐ Is firsthand experience clearly identified?
☐ Have we avoided inventing personal experience?
☐ Are important factual claims supported where appropriate?
☐ Are sources appropriate and current?
☐ Are opinions clearly presented as opinions?
☐ Are reviews clearly identifiable?
☐ Are business-provided claims distinguished from independent observations?
☐ Are commercial relationships disclosed where relevant?
☐ Is the information reasonably current?
☐ Does the article provide original value?
☐ Does it contain unnecessary repetition?
☐ Does it avoid keyword stuffing?
☐ Does it avoid exaggerated claims?
☐ Does the content respect Nigerian communities and cultures?
☐ Would the article still be useful to someone who never came through a search engine?
55. My Personal Editorial Promise
As the founder and publisher of GreenLink, I want readers to know what they can expect from me.
I will not deliberately pretend that I visited somewhere when I did not.
I will not deliberately claim that I stayed in a hotel when I did not.
I will not deliberately manufacture an interview.
I will not present an AI-generated experience as my own.
I will try to distinguish my personal observations from information obtained through research.
I will try to correct meaningful factual errors.
I will try to make commercial relationships clear.
I will try to explain when information may have changed.
And when I do not know something, I would rather say that I do not know than invent an answer.
56. Why This Matters to GreenLink
My travel experience is one of the reasons GreenLink exists.
I started traveling because I wanted to explore Nigeria for myself.
I wanted to see different environments.
I wanted to meet people.
I wanted to understand different cultures.
I wanted to taste different foods.
I wanted to hear different languages.
I wanted to discover opportunities.
I wanted to learn how people live in different parts of the country.
Those experiences continue to influence how I look at travel.
When I enter a hotel, I do not only think about how the building looks.
I think about whether the place works for a real traveler.
Is the environment comfortable?
Can I park?
Is there water?
Can I get food?
Does the network work?
Can I use Wi-Fi?
Is the place clean?
Can I move around easily?
Those practical questions are part of the experience I bring to GreenLink.
57. GreenLink’s Editorial Philosophy
We believe good travel publishing should be more than copying information that already exists on the internet.
A useful travel article should help a person understand something.
It should answer questions.
It should explain limitations.
It should provide practical details.
It should distinguish experience from research.
It should identify the person responsible for the content.
It should acknowledge when information can change.
It should correct meaningful errors.
And it should respect the reader enough not to manufacture certainty where none exists.

60. Final Editorial Statement
GreenLink.com.ng was created from a genuine interest in traveling around Nigeria.
I did not start traveling because I wanted to become an internet expert.
I started because I wanted to experience Nigeria.
My first experiences of traveling alone showed me how much there was to learn outside the environment I already knew.
Every journey has given me something.
Sometimes it has been a beautiful view.
Sometimes it has been good food.
Sometimes it has been a new friendship.
Sometimes it has been a different language or culture.
Sometimes it has been an opportunity.
And sometimes the lesson has come from a difficult road, an uncomfortable journey or an unexpected problem.
Those experiences are part of what I bring to GreenLink.
But experience also has limits.
I cannot personally experience every hotel, road, restaurant or destination in Nigeria.
That is why firsthand experience and research need to work together.
When I personally experience something, I will aim to tell readers that it is my experience.
When information comes from an official source, business or other publication, I will aim to identify it appropriately.
When something is an opinion, I will aim not to disguise it as a fact.
When information changes, I will aim to update it.
When I discover a meaningful mistake, I will aim to correct it.
And when I do not know something, I would rather acknowledge that limitation than make something up.
GreenLink’s goal is not to pretend to know everything about Nigeria.
Our goal is to keep traveling, keep learning, keep researching and share useful information with people who want to explore Nigeria.
